Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

It is not life that's complicated, it's the struggle to guide and control it.

- F. Scott Fitzgerald

Pronounced as one word, "ACT" or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is an evolved subtype of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), grounded in the belief that instead of our thoughts and feelings being the problem, it’s actually the way we deal with them (i.e., the struggle to control them). The goal of ACT is psychological flexibility, which means I will help you be open and willing to have your inner experiences ("good" and "bad") while focusing on living a meaningful life.  If you would like to learn more about ACT, click here.
